HOW I HELP
I help our team by finalising meeting minutes and recommendations and issuing them to our clients. Once recommendations are approved, I help with implementing their plans. Essentially, I work as a go-between for our clients and Financial Planners, actioning requests from clients or connecting them with their financial planner for additional advice.
“CUTTING OUT THE COMPLEXITIES.”
Karen Myles is part of the Client Service Support team based in our Charlotte Square office. Her role involves ensuring that every process runs smoothly for both clients and our financial planners. Karen handles the finalisation of meeting minutes and recommendations for clients and follows through with the implementation of these plans. Once a client approves a recommendation, she assists with changes to asset allocations, handling ISAs, pensions, and bonds—both onshore and offshore. These are then sent to the director for authorisation, ensuring every step is handled with care and accuracy.
Karen liaises with the planners regarding General Investment Accounts (GIAs) for rebalancing and calculates Capital Gains Tax (CGT) when necessary. Additionally, she issues paperwork to clients and acts upon it once received, whether that involves implementing investment changes or processing withdrawal requests.

For me, the most satisfying part of my role is seeing a client’s financial plan come to fruition. After working with them through various stages—understanding their needs, making recommendations, and implementing the strategy—it’s incredibly rewarding to witness the positive outcomes we’ve worked hard to achieve.
On a day-to-day basis, my focus is on creating a process that’s easy to follow, clear in its instructions, and aligned with the client’s financial goals.. This is particularly important for successful families, many of whom are going through challenging transitions. By breaking down information and being available to answer questions, I ensure they feel comfortable and confident.”
